For their third collection, Krzisch entrusted us with the art direction of their lookbook shooting. Driven by the desire to reinforce the brand identity rather than show a season’s inspirations, we delve into the brand’s DNA: Oumar Ly’s pictures, rappers mugshots, picture of 80’s New York and african & asian embroidery.
The set, directly inspired by african bush photo studios, seems to be made of bits and pieces. Models take proud and serious poses, inspired by Malick Sidibé or Martha Cooper’s pictures. The layout, treated as a succession of identity Photo Booth plates, strengthens references to portrait aesthetic.
